What You Will Learn — Full Hifz Curriculum

Phase 1 — Pre-Hifz Assessment & Preparation

Before beginning Hifz, every student undergoes a thorough assessment of their current Quran reading level and Tajweed knowledge. We ensure the foundation is strong before memorisation begins — a student who reads with errors will memorise those errors. This phase typically lasts 2–4 weeks for students who need Tajweed correction.

  • Assessment of Quran reading fluency and Tajweed standard
  • Correction of any Tajweed errors before Hifz begins
  • Introduction to memorisation techniques and daily revision habits
  • Setting of realistic Hifz timeline based on student’s age, availability, and capacity

Phase 2 — Active Memorisation (Sabaq)

The daily Sabaq (new lesson) is the core of Hifz. Each day your teacher assigns a specific number of new verses to memorise, based on your demonstrated capacity. Typically students begin with smaller portions and gradually increase as confidence and technique improve.

  • Daily new lesson assigned and supervised by your Hafiz teacher
  • Makharij and Tajweed checked on every new verse before accepting it
  • Progressive increase in daily lesson size as student improves
  • Begin with Juz Amma (30th Para) and shorter Surahs to build early confidence

Phase 3 — Revision System (Sabqi & Manzil)

The revision system is what separates serious Hifz students from those who forget. Our teachers implement a strict three-tier revision system — Sabqi (last 7 days of memorisation), Manzil (older memorisation), and full Para revision — to ensure nothing is ever forgotten.

  • Daily Sabqi revision of recent lessons
  • Weekly Manzil revision of older memorised portions
  • Monthly full Para testing to verify retention
  • Teachers track every student’s revision log to identify weak verses early

Phase 4 — Completion & Dawrah

Upon completing the memorisation of all 30 Paras, students undergo a final full Quran revision (Dawrah) — reciting the entire Quran from memory to their teacher. This is a deeply rewarding milestone that marks the completion of one of Islam’s greatest achievements.

  • Final full Quran Dawrah under teacher supervision
  • Completion certificate available upon successful Dawrah
  • Ongoing revision programme available to maintain Hifz after completion

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to complete Hifz online?

The duration varies significantly based on the student’s age, daily availability, natural capacity, and consistency. Young children typically take 3–6 years of daily study. Motivated teenagers can complete Hifz in 2–4 years. Adults with limited daily time may take 5–8 years. Your teacher will set a realistic personalised timeline after your initial assessment.

The ideal age to begin Hifz is between 7 and 12 years old, when a child’s memory capacity is at its peak. However, we also successfully teach teenagers and adults who are committed and consistent. Hifz is about dedication more than age.

Yes — a student must be able to read the Quran fluently with correct Tajweed before beginning Hifz. If a student’s reading needs improvement, we will enrol them in our Nazra and Tajweed course first. This is not a delay — it is essential preparation. Students who memorise with Tajweed errors will carry those errors permanently.

For serious Hifz students, we strongly recommend a minimum of 5 sessions per week — ideally daily. Consistent daily contact with the Quran is what separates students who complete Hifz from those who do not. We offer flexible time slots including early mornings and evenings to accommodate all schedules.
